My life in black and white
Puzzle Pieces

Just like a game of connect the dots
We learn to derive things from previous experiences,
We learn to accept the realization that indeed everything happens for a reason.
And that every experience is a learning lesson.
We learn to smile, laugh and cry
We smile when it hurts, laugh to hide the pain
and love till it hurts no more
this is the beauty of it all
and I wouldn't have it any other way

"It's always darkest before the dawn"
crawling, falling and maybe stumbling, that was how things were this past year. For a moment you think your up, then things come crashing down, and yet you believe that the worst and I mean the worst is yet to come. Just when you think that life has thrown everything at you, and you managed if not to take a hit, dodge them, life lets loose a bag of new challenges. You can only do two thing, you can either get yourself trampled on, or you start fighting back. This reminds me of a particular One Tree Hill quote:
Yes it has been a trying year, you've got new problems, fresh faces, new hopes and dreams, broken hearts and a lot of struggles. Struggles not just in a bad way, but more or less in a good way. Only when you fall flat on your ass do you finally have the strength to stand up and get your shit together. Because when you're already down and beaten down, what more can you lose?
Do I loathe this year, well no, but has this year been a trying year, you bet it has been. But I guess that's the beauty of it all, that's what's important, the mere thought of trying. If there was one thing Chief taught me, its that we can do anything we set our minds to. And we need more of that and less of rants and useless chit chat. So instead of hating this year, I thank this year for everything it has taught me;
You want to make something out of your life, you've got to WORK HARD, things may not always come easy, but as long as you've got PERSEVERANCE and HEART you're gonna go a long way. Obviously there are always road blocks and detours, but trust me, sometimes there for the best. Instead of complaining enjoy the road.
There's more to work than meets the eye. It's not just about the progress that you're making it about the LIVES YOU TOUCH, you eventually learn that it isn't just a corporation or an organization, its a family. And if there's one thing I learned its that Families NEVER GIVE UP on each other. Eventually you learn that it isn't just about incessant scoldings,eventually you realize that you've got to make them understand why you're doing things and for what reason are you doing things. That way you just don't make them realize your work's worth, you yourself understand the reasons behind your work.
Lastly, it's keeping and open mind and an open heart. This would often remind me of how kids would react whenever they learn something new. All the fascination and interest invested into learning that craft. I guess that's what we all lack, we're all to proud to learn, when in fact learning happens to be one of the most wonderful thing a person could experience. Yes you may get hurt, maybe bruise a little, but the beauty is in the process of it all. I've one told my team that I really don't need people that are masters of their craft, cause its hard for a master to humble oneself to learn. Kids on the other hand, are easy to teach, they have pure hearts and minds. I guess more than PASSION, there's the virtue of HUMILITY.
This has been a beautiful year indeed and for your six cents worth, I know that the next one would probably be a tough one, I hold on to the lessons that this year has taught me. Once you've been in the dark, hold on to the hope a beautiful morning.
